• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, safely and compliantly, by emptying containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300‑500 times per day, depending on route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position will not manage employees.

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck approximately 300‑500 times per day.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

• Waste industry experience a plus.

• Continuously push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Frequently lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Rarely lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Continuously work outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions.
• Continuously work in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter.
• Frequently stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl.
• Frequently climb and/or balance.
• Frequently sit/stand/walk.

• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain prior to hire.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
• Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
• Ability to travel between offices as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• Must successfully complete pre‑employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
