Base pay rangeSalary:
Pharmacy Manager $5,775.00-$6,342.00 Bi-Weekly

Provides empathetic pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding the effective use of medications and drug interaction awareness. Offers preventive and clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcome services. Ensures prescribed medications are compounded, reviewed, dispensed, and verified accurately according to regulatory guidelines and company policies and procedures. Manages an efficient pharmacy workflow and improves pharmacy financials, manages inventory effectively, and enhances patient experience.
Manages pharmacy staff performance and engagement. Ensures the professional development of pharmacy staff by overseeing training, focused coaching, and executing formal performance management initiatives.

Experience:
Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves patient issues in a timely manner and answers questions to ensure a positive patient experience. - Customer service excellence:
Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience, including interpersonal habits that show care and Walgreens service traits. - Patient engagement:
Connects with patients by anticipating needs and proactively offering services; leads efforts to enhance patient experience by increasing awareness of healthcare services offered through Walgreens (e.g., patient consultation, medication management, drug therapy reviews, immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services). - Events:
Participates in events that reflect the communities served. - Operations:
Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, privacy, generics, and OTC products; refers to medical providers as needed; performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management; reviews and dispenses medications accurately; ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow; oversees staffing, scheduling, and shift changes; adheres to Good Faith Dispensing policies; collaborates on strategic opportunities; maintains pharmacy IT knowledge and supports staff with IT needs;
processes insurance claims and resolves issues; follows up with providers on medications, dosages, refills, and interactions; conducts clinical and wellness services; supports virtual product reviews where applicable; maintains and improves the pharmacy environment. - People & Performance Management:
Collaborates on hiring, discipline, performance management, and compliance; sets expectations and goals; recognizes improvements; manages performance and career progression; addresses employee relations concerns. - Training & Personal Development:
Maintains licensing/credentialing; pursues ongoing pharmacy and healthcare knowledge; completes required training; seeks professional development with mentorship. - Communications:
Supports implementation of corporate health and wellness service information to staff. - Business Performance Management:
Analyzes performance data, manages inventory and asset protection, and identifies improvement opportunities. - Business Planning:
Builds relationships with local medical professionals, promotes the pharmacy business, and supports community health and wellness initiatives.
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm
D degree from an accredited institution. - Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, operations, software/technology, and insurance billing.
- Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.
- Internal candidates: average leadership rating of at least 3.0 on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications- Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff.
- At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreens Co.
- Average leadership rating of 3.7 or above on the last performance review if available.
