Position SummaryThe Head of Business Development – Solar and BESS O&M will spearhead strategic growth initiatives in both the utility‑scale and commercial solar markets. This role is responsible for driving client acquisition, enhancing market presence, cultivating high‑value partnerships, and ensuring the long‑term profitability of the company’s O&M services, including leveraging collaborative business opportunities with other Hanwha affiliates across the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Strategic Business Growth & Market Expansion (25%)- Develop business development strategies and align them fully with company strategies to achieve business goals and secure a dominant market share.
- Lead core business growth initiatives, including O&M bidding, proposal development, contract awards, and strategic partnerships.
- Spearhead and continuously refine value propositions and service differentiation to set our services apart from competitors.
- Identify potential clients in the utility‑scale and C&I solar and BESS O&M market; research their business needs, priorities including 3rd parties and Hanwha affiliates, and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with Hanwha affiliates to develop and deliver fully integrated solutions – combining product, EPC, and O&M services – to customers.
- Build strong partnerships with major equipment OEMs to expand technical services, including commissioning, repair, and warranty works.
- Develop and maintain a targeted pipeline of prospective customers and active O&M opportunities.
- Explore new business models and services and continuously expand our service offerings and differentiated value propositions, including repowering.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to define and execute short‑ and long‑term growth plans.
- Leverage personal and professional networks to establish, broaden, and cultivate strong client relationships.
- Conduct in‑person and virtual client meetings to present company capabilities, explore collaboration opportunities, and communicate value propositions.
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term retention.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and key conferences.
- Own proposal development, ensuring alignment with client expectations and quality execution.
- Lead the review and negotiation of commercial and contract terms in collaboration with the internal legal team to secure O&M contract awards.
- Follow up with prospective clients to secure inclusion in RFP processes and refine proposals based on client feedback.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting clients and opportunities.
- Monitor and update the market competition landscape, tracking leading competitors’ strategic moves and value propositions, and incorporate key findings and insights into business development strategies.
