CNC Operator​/Programmer – HAAS Milling

We are currently looking for a reliable and skilled CNC Operator / Programmer to join our manufacturing facility in Georgetown, TX. This role is perfect for a machinist who excels in prototype production, thrives when working autonomously, and is dedicated to delivering high-precision components.

The person in this role will handle the programming, setup, and operation of HAAS CNC milling equipment to create complex parts and fixtures based on technical specifications. You should be comfortable working with G-code, M-code, and various measurement tools, with additional experience in Mastercam being highly beneficial.

• Program, set up, and run HAAS CNC milling machines to create high-quality prototypes and parts.
• Transform engineering blueprints and sketches into finished components to ensure project success.
• Refine and troubleshoot CNC programs to help maximize production efficiency.
• Utilize G-code and M-code expertise to optimize machine performance and output.
• Analyze technical drawings to determine exact dimensions and machining requirements.
• Choose the right cutting tools and set parameters to help maintain consistent production quality.
• Verify part accuracy using precision inspection tools like micrometers and calipers.
• Perform necessary mechanical and programming tweaks to ensure all parts meet strict tolerances.
• Maintain clear records of production progress and inspection data to support team operations.
• Identify and resolve equipment issues to help minimize downtime and maintain workflow.

• Proven background in CNC milling operation and programming within a shop setting.
• Practical experience working with HAAS CNC milling platforms is preferred.
• Solid understanding of G-code and M-code programming languages.
• Competency in interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical sketches.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle of prototype part production.
• Skilled in using precision measuring equipment for dimensional verification.
• Capable of diagnosing machining problems and performing necessary tooling or offset adjustments.
• Familiarity with Mastercam software is considered a significant advantage.
• High level of focus and organizational skill to ensure superior quality output.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the broader goals of the team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Consistent attendance record and reliable transportation to the job site.
• Flexibility to work overtime hours to ensure production targets are met.

We are searching for a hands-on professional who can solve complex problems and manage the entire machining process from initial concept to final inspection. Candidates with a strong background in prototype development, fixture creation, and independent troubleshooting will be prioritized.

• Hourly Rate: $30.00, based on your specific experience level.
• Shift Timing: 2nd shift, operating from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
• Weekly Commitment:
  Typically 35 to 45 hours.
• Overtime:
  Available and required based on current production demands.
