American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift contract position requiring a TX or compact RN license and current NIHSS certification.

• Med/Surg unit (14-bed) with a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Typical staffing includes 3 RNs and 1 PCT per shift with a free float charge nurse
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Alaris infusion pumps and Meditech EMR
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Unit performs bronchoscopy and EGD/colonoscopy procedures

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certification required
• ACLS and rhythm interpretation skills preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Candidates must be flexible team players
• Navy scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
