Position Overview
Tax Professional – Franchise Location at H&R Block
As a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional, you will serve clients with diverse tax needs and receive advanced training from an expert team to help you succeed.
What You’ll Do- Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools—video, phone, chat, email.
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
- Provide clients with IRS support (tax notice services, audit representation).
- Mentor and support teammates.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
- Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
- Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
- Experience with tax planning and audit support.
- Sales and/or marketing experience.
- Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
- High school diploma / equivalent or higher.
