Bookkeeper

American Peanut Growers Group LLC is an agricultural processor and peanut sheller dedicated
to delivering high-quality products to food manufacturers worldwide. From receiving raw farmer
stock peanuts to processing, grading, and shipping shelled kernels, our fast-paced facility sits at
the heart of the supply chain. We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our
accounting team.

The Bookkeeper will manage the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, interacting closely with both
plant operations and our local farming network. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy
agricultural setting and possesses strong analytical skills.

• Account Reconciliation: Balance bank statements, clear ledger discrepancies, and assist
  with month-end and harvest-season closing cycles. Prepare documentation to support
  monthly ledger entries.
• Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain highly organized digital and physical financial
  records in strict compliance with audits.
• 401(k) program management: Eligibility decisioning, loan preparation, and audit support.
• Reporting: Prepare numerous data reports for management.
• Fixed Assets: Manage fixed assets in SAGE.
• Inventory Management: Assist with balancing daily inventory.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience required.
• Experience: 3-5 years of bookkeeping. Experience in agriculture/manufacturing and
  financial statement preparation preferred.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data filtering, formulas) and exposure to
  specialized accounting software (e.g., SAP, Quick Books, Sage, or Ag-specific ERP
  systems).
• Attention to Detail: Proven ability to spot data entry errors and number mismatches in a
  high-volume environment.
• Communication: Exceptional phone and email communication skills for collaborating
  with growers and internal plant supervisors.
