Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview Lanier Home Restoration (LHR) is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Financial Controller Assistant to join our growing team. This position will work closely with our Financial Controller to assist with day-to-day accounting, invoicing, financial reporting, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Quick Books, invoicing, spreadsheets, and financial/accounting processes and is comfortable working with numbers and detailed financial information.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting and financial tasks
• Enter, review, and maintain financial information in Quick Books
• Prepare and process customer invoices
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Track outstanding invoices and assist with collections
  
  Reconcile accounts and review transactions for accuracy
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets and financial reports
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reconciliations
• Review financial information for accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Assist with expense tracking and documentation
• Help maintain accurate customer and vendor records
• Assist with payroll-related financial information as needed
• Provide administrative support to the Financial Controller
• Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a similar position
• Experience using Quick Books
• Experience with invoices and accounts receivable/payable
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets
• Comfortable working with financial statements, reports, and numerical information
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while also working closely with the Financial Controller
• Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality

• Experience supporting a Controller, Accountant, or Finance Manager
• Experience with Quick Books Online
• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations
• Construction, restoration, contracting, or service-industry accounting experience
