Dealership Accounting Associate

Location: Gainesville, GA
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Dealership Accounting Associate to join our finance office. The position will handle some of the day-to-day accounting functions, reconcile accounts, process payables and receivables, billing out vehicle deals, process title work and help maintain accurate financial records using our Dealership Management System (DMS).
What You’ll Do (Exact responsibilities may depend on previous experience):- Enter daily financial transactions, posting deals and accounts receivable/payable data
- Perform routine bookkeeping duties, including reviewing and reconciling bank and floor plan statements
- Prepare and assist with month-end closing and dealership accounting reports
- Track vehicle inventory schedules, warranty receivables, and manufacturer incentives
- Assist with payroll processing, HR record maintenance, and vendor statement reconciliation
- Communicate closely with sales, service, and parts teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; prior automotive dealership accounting experience strongly preferred
- Education: High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with dealership management software (such as CDK, Dealer track, or Reynolds & Reynolds)
- Abilities: Strong grasp of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, reconciliations), high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
