About the Role:
The DC Operations Assistant supports the Distribution Center Manager and department managers with daily administrative and operational activities. This role helps keep information organized, communication clear, and distribution center operations running efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, resourceful, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working closely with managers, employees, carriers, vendors, and other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Distribution Center Manager and department managers.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, schedules, and other operational documents.
- Coordinate meetings, distribute agendas or notes, and track follow-up items.
- Serve as a professional point of contact for employees, managers, visitors, carriers, and vendors.
- Assist with communication of distribution center policies, procedures, announcements, and operational updates.
- Organize supplies, office materials, and other administrative resources.
- Enter and update information in company systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Assist with audits, compliance requests, special projects, and startup-related process improvements.
- Identify administrative or communication gaps and recommend practical solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One to three years of administrative, operations, warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience supporting managers or working in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or transportation environment is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.
