Overview

The Valet Attendant provides excellent customer service by safely parking and retrieving vehicles, creating a welcoming guest experience, and following safety and company procedures. This role requires professional interaction with guests, teamwork, and adherence to policies.

Primary Objective

Provide friendly, efficient, and safe valet services while ensuring the security of guest vehicles. Greet guests, assist with vehicle drop-off and pick-up, manage traffic flow, and answer questions professionally.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Vehicle inspections:
    Check for damage and record vehicle details on claim tickets.
  • Safety:
    Safely park and retrieve vehicles, follow key handling procedures, and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Compliance:
    Clock in/out for shifts and breaks on time, and report tips accurately.
  • Housekeeping:
    Keep the valet area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Customer service & teamwork:
    Handle guest concerns politely, solve problems quickly, and support a positive team environment.
  • Attendance & professionalism:
    Arrive on time, in full uniform, and ready to work. Follow all company rules and policies.
  • Additional duties:
    Assist with other tasks as needed to support daily operations.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:

    High school diploma or GED required. Previous customer service experience preferred. A helpful attitude and strong customer service mindset are essential.
  • Licenses & Background:
    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (no more than 3 moving violations within 3 years). Clean background check. No special certifications required.

    Follow company policies, adapt to changing environments, manage multiple responsibilities, and stay professional under challenges.
  • Dependability & Safety:
    Follow instructions, maintain schedules, complete tasks on time, follow safety guidelines, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Physical Demands:
    Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs; work in various weather conditions; available for evenings, weekends, and holidays; work in indoor/outdoor settings including parking areas.
  • Technology & Communication Tools:
    May use personal cell phones for work-related communication; company policy applies for reimbursements.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: $14.00 per hour plus daily cash tips (rates may vary by market; tips depend on service performance).
  • Benefits:

Work Environment
