Overview
Licensed Physician Medical Director – EMS Program in South Fulton, Georgia (Onsite & Remote Hybrid). This is a part-time, service-based contract role providing clinical oversight for approximately 20,000 EMS responses annually, including protocol approval, QA/QI, clinical training oversight, and medical direction for the City s SWAT Medic Program.

Conditions:
Onsite monthly EMS leadership meetings, QA/QI reviews, and critical incidents;
Remote administrative reviews, protocol updates, and consultations;
Travel at physician s own expense (not reimbursed by the City).
- Serve as Physician Sponsor for the City s EMS license
- Approve and maintain EMS protocols, medications, and standing orders
- Conduct regular QA/QI reviews and case audits
- Direct and support clinical education and competency programs
- Oversee the SWAT Medic Program medical training and guidance
- Liaise with EMS regulatory bodies and local hospitals
- Attend monthly onsite leadership meetings and participate in field operations as needed
- Provide remote support for documentation, review, and consults
- Licensed MD or DO in the State of Georgia
- Board certified in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Minimum 3 years experience in EMS medical direction or emergency medicine
- Active DEA Registration and ACLS certification
- Knowledge of Georgia EMS laws and O.C.G.A. (including 31-11)
- Ability to pass a background check and maintain professional standing
- Prior experience as an EMS/Public Safety Medical Director
- Leadership in EMS QA/QI program development
- Experience in EMS training programs, simulations, and drills
- Familiarity with tactical EMS (SWAT Medic programs)
