Effingham Hospital - Full-Time - Anesthesiologist Role Overview
North Star is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join our team at Effingham Hospital. The position is 5 days/week, no nights, no call, no weekends, no holidays. This is a surgery center style job at a small critical access hospital with 2 ORs. Primary responsibilities include medical direction and performing own cases 25% of the time.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care for a variety of cases including bread & butter, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and ophthalmologic procedures.
- Perform block sedation and other regional anesthesia techniques as required.
- Assist in medical direction and protocol development.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and safety audits.
- Baccalaureate and doctorate in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine with current board certification in anesthesia.
- Board certification and maintained medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
- Expected block proficiency required for listed case types.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient safety skills.
Compensation: $550,000 plus benefits. Paid time off: 8 weeks. Medical, dental, life, long-term/short-term disability, malpractice coverage, 401(k) and more.
