Physician Assistant – Main Street Family Care

Exciting Full‑Time Physician Assistant Opportunity in East Ellijay, GA! Main Street Family Care is growing, and we are looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full time. You will provide patient‑focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting, and will lead a small team in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent care environment.

This is an incredible opportunity for PAs early in their career, including brand‑new graduates. After on‑site orientation and training, you will complete training shifts with experienced providers and receive ongoing support, such as a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and on‑call physician guidance, to help you grow and excel in your role.

We value full scope of practice – you will treat patients of all ages, from babies to geriatrics, in a variety of medical areas. You will be the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by a team of medical assistants and a firm set of treatment protocols.

We serve rural communities and remain open 362 days a year to help patients avoid costly emergency department visits. Eligible clinics may receive tuition and student‑loan reimbursement grants that support you in your career.

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory illnesses
• Performing minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign‑body extraction
• Conducting suturing and splinting
• Managing general orthopedic evaluations and treatments
• Reviewing X‑rays (over‑read by a radiologist)
• Providing general dermatology care
• Addressing general eye problems
• Interpreting general EKGs
• Managing emergency situations
• Applying general GYN expertise
• Treating children of all ages
• Administering occupational medicine services
• Providing telemedicine services

Clinic hours are extended, 7 days a week:
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend:

• Week 1:
  Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON)
• Week 2:
  Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF)

• Physician Assistant Board certification required
• MSN or higher education required (new graduates are welcome)
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain compliance (cost covered)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
