Permanent Substitute

Details: 180 Day Calendar, $14.57 an hour, 7.5 hours a day, includes benefits.

Job Description: To provide competent application of instructional plans for an assigned class in the absence of the regular teacher. Meets and instructs all classes and duties normally assigned to the teacher, following the teacher’s plans and using provided materials and equipment. Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning, appropriate to students' maturity and interests. Ensures safety and order, complies with school policies, and cooperates professionally with staff and administration under the supervision of the school principal.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in education preferred. Parapro certification required if not certified; options include taking the GACE, providing an official transcript, or obtaining a clearance through PSC.

Skills Required: Ability to organize, direct, and control children in various settings; proficiency in oral and written communication; adaptability to changing conditions.

Experience: Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
