Manufacturing Engineer - Janus

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will plan and design manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency.

• Focus on being a key contributor to one or more facets of varied projects with the skills and abilities reflective of professional training.
• Develop complete intermediate level work plans for small projects/sub projects/assignments, including expense/capital estimates and cost/benefit analysis.
• Manage capital equipment projects, Input on Machine design, vendor selection, Equipment design reviews.
• Communicate with vendors to coordinate quotes, prototypes, and production plans.
• Support a production line to achieve business metrics and work with supervisors and production staff to determine improvements
• Work in a team environment to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles.
• Able to solve complex problems with practical solutions.
• Work with other functional areas on projects/assignments.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities to a variety of assignments within a moderate range of technical difficulty.
• BS Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Proven understanding of engineering and scientific methodologies and their successful application at an intermediate level of technical application.
• Understands and applies methodologies associated with project planning.
• Equipment Procurement Experience (including automation).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds.
