The Water Treatment Support Specialist IV provides advanced technical support for water treatment programs, technology development, system design, and field troubleshooting. You will support internal teams and representatives with water chemistry, treatment systems, maintenance practices, documentation development, and analysis of water quality data. This role directly shapes the company’s ability to deliver high‑performance water treatment programs across industrial facilities, affecting customer satisfaction, equipment longevity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

What

you will be doing:
Develop & Enhance Facility‑Wide Water Treatment Programs
  • Design and implement treatment solutions for boilers, cooling towers, closed‑loop systems, and wastewater.
  • Evaluate existing technologies and identify areas for integration or improvement.
  • Build modular and scalable treatment approaches for diverse facility types.
  • Ensure all programs comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
Technology Research & Innovation
  • Investigate emerging water treatment technologies and methods.
  • Lead pilot projects, field trials, and performance testing.
  • Partner with engineering, R&D, and external vendors to support innovation.
Technical Support & Case Management
  • Provide advanced support to service, sales, and field teams regarding water quality, system troubleshooting, and treatment programs.
  • Review water analysis reports and assist with lab interpretation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across chemical treatment, equipment operation, and regulatory requirements.
Documentation, Tools, & Training
  • Develop manuals, guides, quick references, calculators, and knowledge‑base content.
  • Identify documentation gaps through case management reviews.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees, representatives, and customers.
  • Translate documents when applicable (Japanese ? English or English ? Spanish).
Professional Development & Skill Progression
  • Complete structured development levels (0–4) within defined timelines.
  • Continuously expand knowledge in water treatment technologies, chemistry, equipment, and system design.
What you must have:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional, multi‑cultural teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and present technical water quality data.
  • Experience working remotely and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to handle fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environments professionally.
  • Consistent attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Certified Water Technologist (CWT).
  • 5+ years of industrial water treatment experience.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment technologies and facility operations.
  • Experience with cooling towers, closed‑loop systems, and wastewater treatment.
  • Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with troubleshooting mechanical/electrical components (preferred).
