Shift Support Supervisor In-Training/Senior Reactor Operator - ALL PLANT LOCATIONS

We are hiring Senior Reactor Operators (Shift Support Supervisors in Training) over the next 18‑24 months at each plant site, with a focus on Plant Hatch in Baxley, GA. Candidates will perform operations staff functions to prepare for an upcoming NRC Hot License Class, completing plant‑provided training on reactor operation, heat transfer, fluid flow and thermodynamics. Upon successful completion of the Hot License Class and attaining an NRC Operating License, the candidate will become a Shift Support Supervisor, directing shift personnel on rotating 12‑hour shifts and coordinating plant system operations.

• Candidates must meet at least one of the following:
• 1 or more years as an active reactor operator at a BWR/PWR facility; OR
• 1.5 or more years as an active reactor operator at a non‑comparable commercial power reactor; OR
• 2 or more years in a military equivalent position (e.g., Engineering Officer of the Watch or Propulsion Plant Watch Officer).
• Preferred: six or more years’ experience in nuclear plant operations, including holding a previous NRC RO or SRO license or military equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership (preferably supervisor level or above) and excellent oral and written skills.
• Solid analytical thinking and strong mechanical aptitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• High degree of manual dexterity and mature judgment.

• Must obtain U.S. Nuclear Power Plant Unescorted Access and participate in the company’s Fitness‑for‑Duty Program.
• May need to maintain qualifications and on‑call responsibilities supporting the plant Emergency Response Organization.
• Must complete a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) for background investigation per Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
• Applicants with recent positivity for drug or alcohol tests, felony or misdemeanor convictions, or any falsification in the background investigation are unlikely to receive access.
