Plumbing Engineer

Job Description

Selectek is partnering with a firm in Doraville, GA to hire a Plumbing Engineer on a direct hire basis. Candidates will oversee the design, development, and implementation of plumbing systems for various healthcare and commercial projects.

Expected Pay Range: $75,000-$105,000 annual salary, depending on experience and certification

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p

Job Duties:

• Lead the design and engineering of complex plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, natural gas, and specialty systems.
• Develop and review detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure all plumbing designs comply with local, state, and national building codes and standards (IPC, UPC, NFPA, ASPE, etc.).
• Perform and oversee hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and fixture unit calculations.
• Utilize design software such as Revit and plumbing calculation tools.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes are followed.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and as-built drawings.
• Conduct field visits for inspections, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 7 plus years of plumbing engineering experience
• Knowledgeable of various plumbing and fire protection system designs
• Revit Proficiency
• Strong understanding of relevant plumbing codes
