Job SummaryServe as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of financially complex client relationships within the mass affluent market segment across the Truist footprint. Utilize financial planning and advisory concepts to deepen relationships and deliver a broad range of retail solutions—including banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance services. Leverage Truist’s referral network to generate new clients and provide comprehensive advice.
- Maintain a portfolio of mass‑affluent clients; sell, deliver, and provide ongoing service for fee income and retail banking products.
- Establish and update a deep understanding of client financial needs through sound profiling and financial planning analysis.
- Stay current on economic, legal, and market trends that impact mass‑affluent clients; act as a personal financial planning resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs.
- Achieve revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals through new client acquisition, service expansion, and product marketing.
- Collaborate with Truist teammates and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners to provide an integrated client service approach.
- Build relationships with external centers of influence to support business development.
- Operate within audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks to maintain a high‑quality, compliant client portfolio.
- Participate in the ongoing implementation of the Premier Banking program, including processes and policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, banking, or equivalent financial services experience.
- Minimum 5 years of financial services experience with clients in banking, investments, and/or retail lending, or 1 year in a client‑relationship manager role.
- Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning, advisory, insurance, investment management, and retail credit concepts for the mass affluent market.
- Active Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 6, Series 7, and applicable insurance licenses (Life, Health, Variable) within 100‑150 days of job entry; SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance within 30 days; NMLS acceptable background check.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship‑management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking.
- Mass Affordable Banking experience.
- Professional certification (CFP, CFA, AAMS®, CTFA®, CLU®, CRPC®, ChFC®).
- Completion of a Leadership Development Program or Banking School.
