TEMPORARY/FULL TIME - NURSE OPPORTUNITY
Med Mark Treatment Center is seeking a nurse for a 12-week assignment. The dispensing nurse is responsible for maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information. The ideal candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward individuals with substance use disorder.
Responsibilities
- Administer daily medication to patients according to program policies and medical protocols, including Methadone and Suboxone.
- Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and ensure proper functioning of dispensing equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal, and state regulations.
- Ensure security standards for controlled substances are met, including proper storage and distribution.
- Order, receive, and stock medications following DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
- Conduct daily assessments of patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficiency with EMR and computer systems preferred.
- Experience in chemical dependency treatment is a plus. Must be self-motivated, positive, and have a compassionate attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
- Satisfactory drug screening and criminal background check required.
