Leave of Absence Specialist
Bring your Leave and ADA expertise to a growing healthcare organization making a real impact on employee experience. This role partners closely with HR leadership, managers, and employees to manage compliant, compassionate leave and accommodation programs across a large healthcare workforce.
Pay $36.00hr
What You Will Do
• Manage the full Leave and ADA process including FMLA and workplace accommodations
• Guide employees and leaders through complex leave situations with confidence and care
• Act as a subject matter expert on leave laws, ADA accommodations, and return to work planning
• Track and audit leave cases from initial notice through return to work
• Partner with HR, Legal, and vendors to resolve escalations and mitigate risk
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and stay current on employment law trends
Key Skills Needed
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws
• Experience advising leaders and employees on leave and accommodations
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast paced, matrixed environment
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and judgment skills
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Minimum Requirements
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field
• 3 plus years of HR experience
• 3 plus years focused specifically on Leave and ADA management
• Experience with Workday strongly preferred
• Experience with Absence Soft a plus
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• PHR or SPHR preferred
