SRG is seeking an experienced psychological operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) planner to integrate MISO functions and tasks into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD) / Unified Command level planning, and to ensure the command group and staff consider PSYOP/MISO in the decision‑making process. The candidate will integrate PSYOP/MISO into all contingency plans and operations plans, ensuring PSYOP/MISO capabilities are considered in both deliberate and crisis‑action planning processes.
The planner is expected to provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem‑solving, and assessment skills, while creatively using information systems and IRC to develop innovative concepts that counter adversarial information use in the Information Environment (IE). Key cultural aspects that affect operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments must also be considered.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational‑level IO‑related directives in support of mission elements.
Location:
Fort Eisenhower, GA.
- Integrate PSYOP/MISO into all CCMD/Unified Command level planning to ensure consideration in decision‑making.
- Incorporate PSYOP/MISO into all contingency and operations plans, ensuring integration into deliberate and crisis‑action planning.
- Provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem‑solving, and assessment skills.
- Leverage information systems and IRC, integrating with interagency and intelligence community (IC) to develop innovative concepts that counter adversarial information use.
- Apply cultural insights that affect operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments.
- Review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational‑level IO directives to support mission elements.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8‑10 years of planning experience or a combined total of a minimum of 12 years between education and relevant service. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
- PSYOP (37A/37F) career field.
- Knowledge of the joint operational planning process, military decision‑making process, and campaign plan targeting processes, and expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational‑level PSYOP/MISO plans and orders.
- A minimum of 5‑8 years of experience with MISO planning at the service or joint level, supporting operations at Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces.
- Knowledge of service departments (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force) functions and their relationships to CCMDs for coordinating PSYOP/MISO actions.
- Experience with joint and/or combined military operations and interagency coordination.
- Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army doctrine, regulations, and policies.
- Proficiency in integrating PSYOP/MISO capabilities into cyber plans and operations.
- Capability to recommend policy and force‑structure changes, and to coordinate PSYOP/MISO actions within appropriate channels.
- Certification or field‑time experience in Military Deception (MILDEC), OPSEC, and EW.
- U.S. Citizenship; must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and CI Polygraph.
- Recent joint or service‑level information operations planning experience.
- Joint cyber operations planners’ course.
- Current CI Polygraph.
- Joint Information Operations Planner Course.
- Defense OPSEC planner course.
- Special Warfare Advanced Targeting and Analysis Course.
- Special Operations MILDEC Planners Course.
- Irregular Warfare Course.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior leaders and staff and conduct complex briefings to large audiences.
- Effective teamwork within task‑organized working groups.
- Expertise in planning, integrating, and coordinating with interagency and intelligence community entities.
- Proficiency in developing and utilizing information products that leverage current and emerging technologies for planning and decision support.
- Knowledge of cyberspace operations and intelligence requirements coordination.
