. This position requires an experienced IO professional to conduct direct liaison, integration, and synchronization with Combatant Command (CCMD)/Unified Command staff, subordinate units, and associated joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multi‑national partners. The IO Planner will provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment of information operations; creatively use information systems and related capabilities; integrate with inter‑agency and intelligence community; develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE);

and address cultural considerations affecting operational and tactical planning, security, accreditation, and risk assessment.

Fort Eisenhower, GA / Fort Meade, MD (On‑Site/Office)

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct direct liaison, integration, and synchronization with Combatant Command staff, subordinate units, and JIIM partners.
  • Provide expert mission analysis, analytic problem solving, and assessment of information operations.
  • Utilize information systems and related capabilities creatively in the Information Environment.
  • Integrate with inter‑agency and intelligence community to develop concepts countering adversarial information use.
  • Incorporate cultural considerations influencing operational and tactical planning, security, accreditation, and risk assessments.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree and 14 years of planning experience or a combined total of a minimum of 18 years between education and relevant service. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
  • Functional Area

    FA30 (Army IO Officer / 14F (USAF IO Officer) career field is required.
  • Army/Joint Targeting, IPB, and COG analysis process as well as a general understanding of Army Training doctrine and procedures.
  • Knowledge in JOPP, MDMP, and MCPP planning and targeting processes and expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational level IO plans and orders.
  • SOF planning processes;
    Army/Joint Targeting, IPB, Intelligence cycle, and COG analysis.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years of experience with IO planning at the service or joint level, working that support operations with Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces.
  • Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations, as well as developing support for related capabilities and their activities. Be familiar with, certified in, or have applicable operational/field time experience in:
  • Psychological Operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO)
  • Military Deception (MILDEC)
  • Operations Security (OPSEC)
  • Tactical Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • Cyberspace Operations
  • SIGINT related activities
  • Ability to engage senior JIIM leaders and staff and conduct operational and informational briefings to a large audience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a task organized working group and expertise with planning, integrating, and coordinating with inter‑agency and intelligence community entities.   • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
  • Clearance:
    This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI).
  • Candidate must have a CI polygraph or be willing to get one.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Military Art and Science – School of Advanced Military Studies, Strategic Communications, International Affairs, or similar fields.
  • Recent Joint or Service Level Information Operations planning experience.
