Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Analyst to provide hands‑on technical expertise on a team of systems analysts and systems administrators. This role supports end‑users with their IT needs and ensures the ongoing maintenance and reliability of the agency's core applications and IT infrastructure.

Local candidates only; the role requires a hybrid work schedule with onsite presence.

Initial contract through end of fiscal year; renewal anticipated July 1.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex hardware, software, and network issues, guiding the team in troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Act as the primary contact for third‑party vendors, coordinating support for advanced technical issues and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage and support core IT systems including Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Microsoft Teams softphones, VPN, RDP, and Windows OS.
  • Recommend and implement technical solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures for team reference.
Necessary

Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • Proven expertise in Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Windows OS, desktop deployment, VPN, RDP, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Microsoft enterprise environment:
    • Understanding of Windows Client and Windows Server in production environments.
    • Configuration of Windows Infrastructure via Group Policy and/or scripts.
    • Proficiency with Power Shell for automation.
    • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
    • Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite/Enterprise Mobility + Security (EM+S) a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with AD DS upgrade, consolidation, and migration projects.
  • 2+ years with Office/ Microsoft 365 and at least one year migrating mailboxes.
  • 1+ year with ADFS or Azure AD, SAML 2.0, cloud SSO providers.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS infrastructure management and SharePoint environments a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating with third‑party technical support vendors.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Windows Server, Office 365, Azure) highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of IT service management and ITIL best practices a plus.
  • Track record of continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
