Data Center Network Engineer (Forti Gate and Forti Manager)

Contract:
6+ Months.
We are looking for a well‑rounded network engineer with extensive hands‑on experience in the implementation of customer network environments, including dedicated circuits, Cisco routers, and Fortigate firewalls. The candidate needs a strong foundation in network infrastructure, a solid understanding of dynamic routing protocols, and excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
This engineer will ensure that operations teams have high‑quality training and documentation to provide first‑level support for incidents and work requests across multiple data center environments. The ability to pivot between tasks and manage workflows and deadlines is essential.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a network engineer/architect in a data center environment.
- 5+ years of experience working with Cisco routers for edge connectivity.
- 5+ years of experience with firewall technologies (at least 2–3 years with Forti Gate and Forti Manager).
- Strong routing & switching skills, extensive experience with BGP and OSPF.
- Demonstrated leadership of large, complex projects.
- Experience with service providers for circuit provisioning and troubleshooting.
- Problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong planning skills and solid work ethic.
- Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE) Data Center.
- Strong knowledge of data center architecture.
- Experience with Nexus 9K and VXLAN.
- Programming experience in Python and Ansible or other network automation tools.
- Exposure to Arista data center network products.
- Experience with network visibility tools such as Gigamon, Extra Hop, Splunk, Solar Winds.
- Excellent stress management and composure under pressure.
- Strong customer service and client focus.
- Team‑oriented collaboration skills.
