Administrator at GA Med Group (Treutlen County Health & Rehab)

Responsibilities
  • Operate the Nursing Center in accordance with the established guidelines of the organization and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Enforce the Nursing Center guidelines.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current licensure standards and survey processes.
  • Notify appropriate state and local agencies of transfers, temporary or permanent discharges, or deaths of any patient receiving Medicaid funds.
  • Inform appropriate agencies of changes in Nursing Center personnel, as required.
  • Participate in Nursing Center surveys (Licensure/JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.
  • Act as a liaison between the Nursing Center and regulatory agencies, patient advocacy groups, and fiscal intermediaries.
  • Work with department supervisors to provide adequate staffing.
  • Assist Department Heads in planning, conducting, and scheduling in‑service training classes and orientation programs.
  • Attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory in‑services.
  • Assume responsibility for and honor patients’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self‑determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.
  • Assume responsibility for procedural guidelines relative to the prevention and reporting of patient abuse.
  • Review, investigate, and arbitrate patient complaints and grievances and provide written reports of action taken to supervisors.
  • Supervise the confidentiality and safe storage of current and closed patient records, personnel records, and physical plant records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation regarding accidents/incidents and OSHA regulations.
  • Promote the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
  • Contribute to the work of committees, work groups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Skills & Abilities
  • Establish and maintain effective inter‑departmental communication to provide positive working relationships.
  • Review and evaluate all recommendations of the Nursing Center’s committees and consultants.
  • Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Establish an annual budget and submit it to the supervisor for approval.
  • Adhere to the established accounting system and financial guidelines to meet operating costs and maintain internal budgeting control.
  • Provide for the purchase and availability of all necessary supplies.
  • Develop relationships with community agencies providing services of benefit to the Nursing Center.
  • Supervise all department supervisors and administrative staff, meeting with department heads at regular intervals.
  • Supervise the recruitment, employment, retention, performance evaluation, promotion, and discharge of associates.
Minimum Qualifications
  • An Administrator’s license in the state of Georgia.
  • A degree in Business Administration or Health Administration is preferred but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective inter‑departmental communication to provide positive working relationships.
  • Review and evaluate all recommendations of the Nursing Center’s committees and consultants.
  • Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
  • Comply with all Privacy and Security programs.
  • Serve as Privacy Official for the Center and be responsible for the administration and oversight of the Privacy & Security program within the Center.
