JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Impulse, Inc. is currently seeking a Drywall General Manager for a client in the commercial and industrial construction sector. The Drywall General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, profitability, and strategic direction of the drywall division. This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of commercial drywall systems and project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and manage all drywall operations, including estimating, project management, scheduling, and field execution.
Oversee multiple commercial and industrial drywall projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
Develop and implement operational processes to improve efficiency and profitability.
Monitor division performance, financial metrics, and job costs.
Coordinate with leadership on staffing, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Hire, train, and mentor project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, and clients.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Support business development initiatives and client retention efforts.
Prepare division performance reports for executive leadership.
10+ years of experience in commercial drywall construction
, including 5+ years in a management or leadership role.Proven ability to manage large-scale commercial or industrial drywall projects.
Strong knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, ceilings, and finishing.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in project management and estimating software.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working with major general contractors.
OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
