• Must have a strong mechanical background, electrical and electronic aptitude. Must be a qualified loom technician or style change technician.
• Perform major and minor repairs to Looms, Staubli Heads, backwinder, sample warper, and sample equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair weaving machine feeders.
• Assist plant maintenance personnel with major repairs and maintenance to plant auxiliary equipment if needed.
• Read measuring devices and complete production forms.
• Must be able to work on all shifts to fill in for technicians when needed.
• Assist Machine Technicians and Style Change Technicians when needed.
• Perform weekly loom audits.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust, and various chemicals, and moving parts requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toe shoes.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the candidate is regularly required to talk, walk, stand (for extended periods of time), and hear. The candidate must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. The candidate will be required to reach out and overhead with hands and arms, and perform repetitive hand actions – grasping, push/pull, and fine manipulations. The candidate will be required to bend, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs.

and push/pull with entire body weights up to 150 lbs. The candidate must be able to climb up and down steps as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this position include color vision, close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Weekend and overtime may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires little to no travel.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude
