Environmental Operator – Join Nestlé Purina North America in Hartwell, GA

Our Hartwell factory is a 500,000 sq ft facility that supports a range of product lines and community outreach. As the Water Pretreatment Plant Operator, you will maintain the plant’s safety, operation, housekeeping, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include managing the Screen Room, Membrane Bioreactor (M ), Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit, Truck Bay, Pump Room, Odor Control, MCC, Retort Pond, WWTP outdoor areas, tote cleaning, chemical skids and tank levels, tank farm, and blower room.

You will ensure safe and efficient wastewater treatment, regulatory compliance, and equipment upkeep.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including daily logs, maintenance records, and compliance reports.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Respond promptly to safety incidents or emergencies, following established protocols and reporting procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pretreatment plant and surrounding areas.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and adherence to environmental regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent OR 5 years’ experience in wastewater management.
• 2+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $31.58. Final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, and location.
