Quality Technician – Jefferson Southern Corporation
Location:
Rockmart, GA
- Performs product measurement and data analysis, providing output to the QA Customer Service and Production Quality teams.
- Performs periodic product audits.
- Conducts periodic fixture calibrations.
- Assists with product quality improvement, containment, and New Model quality improvement.
- Supports “level up” activities.
- Takes routine or required customer actions to meet customer’s needs, responding promptly and accurately to complaints, inquiries, and requests for information, and coordinates appropriate follow‑up.
- Must proficiently perform all QA auditor functions and tasks by the time of selection or within the first six months of employment.
- Conducts product qualifications using Faro arm CMM and Laser Scanner to measure stamping and welded parts.
- Works to solve problems and overcome obstacles, following up to ensure closure of dimensional issues.
- Facilitates successful continuous improvement activities.
- Assists in utilizing collected data for Statistical Process Control and trend detection.
- Collects, enters, and maintains clear and organized records of all inspection and test results.
- Works with QA T/L and production T/L to ensure containment of all non‑conforming material.
- Maintains daily housekeeping of the work area to ensure a clean work environment and proper 5‑S.
- Ensures all daily paperwork is correct and all rejected parts are accounted for.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Vocational or associate’s degree preferably in a related field.
- 1–2 years of previous quality experience required (automotive preferred).
- General mechanical ability involving fixtures and gauges.
- Advanced knowledge of the TBH Coordinate System.
- Intermediate knowledge of handheld measurement devices.
- Intermediate knowledge of Universal CMM, FARO Touch Probe (with Laser Scanner), Creaform Scanner, Keyence WM‑6000 (Laser Scanning Probe).
- Prior experience operating Catia viewer.
- Experience in reading drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Ability to use standard office equipment.

Jefferson Southern Corporation, or JSC, is a Tier One automotive supplier. This means that we produce and sell parts that are ready to be installed in automobiles. Our parts are stamped out of steel and then welded. We produce several parts that are part of the “white body” or interior shell of the car. These parts are not very visible after the vehicle is completed, but they are vital to the strength, safety and performance of the car.
