OverviewAs an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will support the manufacturing process by troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing tire-related machinery and equipment. You will also be responsible for safety and housekeeping throughout the facility.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions and uptime across related crafts
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines and drive power distribution, instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform PLC maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical issues
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and specifications
- Handle piping for air, water, steam, oil, nitrogen, gas, and other lines
- Weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Cut structural stock using appropriate equipment
- Log or use work orders to document repair and maintenance activities
- Adhere to safety standards including LOTO, fall protection, confined spaces, and PPE
- Abide by Goodyear attendance policy
- Perform manual tasks in varying temperatures, lifting, climbing, standing, bending, and heights as applicable
- HS Diploma/GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, crouch, bend, and work at heights
- Ability to complete post-offer, pre-employment contingencies
- Ability to work any/all shifts including weekends or overtime if required
- Basic computer skills
- Must provide basic tools
- Industrial Maintenance experience with knowledge of machine technology, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and preventative maintenance
- Journeyman's card or AAS in Industrial Maintenance preferred
- Experience with safety standards
- Self-motivated with initiative
