Summary
The Quality Team Member is responsible for verifying product quality by performing inspections on the production line. The incumbent verifies ongoing conformance with established quality standards and rejects non‑conforming parts for inconsistent color, function, fit, and cosmetic defects.
Responsibilities- Support the Quality Department in maintaining the highest quality standards for all products and finished goods.
- Inspect finished products before transitioning to the next department or holding area.
- Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports.
- Make recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct layered audits and quality checks.
- Generate detailed quality reports as necessary.
- Identify visual defects and contribute to quality decisions.
- Follow all environmental, health and safety policies.
- Fulfill other assigned duties.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of continuous work history with a single employer in the last 5 years.
- Identify visual defects and contribute to quality decisions.
- Properly use quality gauges, tools, and devices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in math, reading, and writing.
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours: safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, nitrile gloves, ear protection, clean room suit.
- Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours: lift/push/pull, stoop, twist, bend, reach overhead, sit and/or stand, use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
