Job Description- Receive product from the press, stack, and place on pallets.
- Understand basic operation of Hugo Beck Bundling System, including setup, troubleshooting, basics, webbing, trash in knife, roll alignment, and adjusting bundle tightness.
- Pull product from press, stack, and place through bundling machines; retrieve bundled product and place on pallets.
- Print pallet labels with Pecas; locate all information needed on the job bag and setup sheet.
- Ensure correct loading of product through bundling machine and correct loading onto pallets for material handling.
- Review completed jobs for quality and accuracy; inform operators of any problems.
- Ensure finished product is high quality, accurately printed, and free of errors; pull product samples per procedures and send to Quality Auditors as required; notify operator of problems or errors.
- Downtime: webbing the press; assist operators when the press is down; clean the press area and related surfaces; ensure correct setup and breakdown of doctor blades using established procedures.
- Make-Ready: purge product from stacker and tables; assist in changing impression rollers; assist in press tool setup and teardown; change cylinders, pump inks, and refill solvents; remove/install print unit cassettes.
- Maintain and follow all company policies for OHSE, PPE, and hazardous materials/waste handling; wear PPE and follow disposal procedures for hazardous materials; keep work area clean and safe; use safety lifting equipment as required.
- Rotating duties may include Gluer GT tasks (feeding product into folder/gluer, packing, palletizing) and Forklift Driver duties (material handling, lifting, loading/unloading, waste management), as applicable to role.
- Participate as a member of the Press Crew; communicate professionally and respectfully; support teammates and help complete tasks as needed; be dependable in attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to perform all tasks as required by Department Leads, Shift Leads, Operators or Management.
- High School diploma (or GED) or equivalent; 1–3 years related production experience or training; strong mechanical and physical abilities.
- Lift truck operators must maintain safety training for operation of equipment.
- Physical demands include ability to lift up to 60 lbs; standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and other repetitive motions; good manual dexterity; vision requirements.
- Ability to rotate shifts and work extended hours as needed to meet production needs.
