Job Description

This is a full-time, hourly W2 position. We have immediate openings! Golden Peanut in Ashburn GA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech that is reliable and wants to build a lasting career.

7:00 AM until released. Typically 3:00 PM. Will work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed.

$24.00-$25.00 an hour depending on experience.

• Conduct job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintain a safe work record.
• Maintain a good attendance record.
• Job purpose is to minimize unscheduled losses and improve reliability.
• Work on call schedule.
• Maintain good communication with all plant personnel.
• Inspect and identify equipment and machines that need repair.
• Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to processing equipment (e.g., elevators, augers, shafts, bearings, reducers, sheaves).
• Use mechanical tools and fabrication tools.
• Understand and perform assigned job tasks independently while being flexible for team settings.
• Maintain good housekeeping and complete sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
• Conduct inspections and report problems.
• Will be trained to work various jobs within the facility.
• Maintain documentation required to perform job duties.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Positive attitude and team mindset.
• Desire to learn various operations and grow with the company.
• Commitment to safety; understand and follow all company safety procedures and use of PPE.
• Mechanical aptitude with 3+ years of mechanical work experience preferably in a factory/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MIG and Stick welding. Experience with a Plasma Torch is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekends.
• Excellent attendance.
• Observant and able to address concerns.
• Previous experience in a factory setting preferred.
• Ability to work above ground level on grated flooring and climb stairs/ladders.
