Millwright Level 2

Overview

West Fraser, a leading North American wood products company, is seeking a Millwright Level 2 to support its manufacturing operations. The candidate will work with heavy industrial machinery and conveyors in a safety‑first environment.

• Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including conveying systems, debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers.
• Read and interpret drawings and technical instructions.
• Adjust clearances and align moving parts using hand tools, micrometers, and measuring instruments.
• Assemble, install, and dismantle equipment using hand and power tools.
• Move machinery with hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance in a zone‑based program.
• Communicate safely under high‑pressure situations and act as a self‑starter.

• Five (5) years of millwright experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with cutting torch (Oxygen/Acetylene) and welding (GMAW, SMAW).
• Strong safety orientation and compliance with ZES procedures.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on‑call to support operations.
• Completion of pre‑employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Maintenance Assessment score of at least 80 to qualify for pay level.
