• Fully and independently operate carrot bagging equipment.
• Set up, operate, and monitor the auto bagging equipment and bagging process of fresh product in the Cello area.
• Ensure bags are properly sealed and monitor quality.
• Perform scheduled equipment checks and preventative maintenance.
• Change bags and SKUs as needed, including bag/weight changes.
• Check scale, weight, and date on Kwik Lock.
• Monitor for product plugging and unplug jams as needed with appropriate tools.
• Respond to metal detector by stopping machine, pulling bag, and identifying the triggering item.
• Inspect machinery in area of ownership and report health & safety issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free bagging area and ensure sufficient supplies are available.
• Communicate errors or malfunctions with production and report concerns to supervisors.
• Change bags (1, 3, 5 lb), update date on Kwik Lock stamp, and replace ink ribbon as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or six-to-one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Possess mechanical aptitude
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Basic mathematical skills

• Six months to one-year experience in a production facility
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Environmental exposure – cold/wet conditions (40 °F or below)
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes; airborne particles and vibrations
• Ability to ascend and descend ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three-point contact
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Fast-paced environment with repetitive motion

• 1st shift (TBD):
  Monday through Saturday; rotating days off. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
