• Tend numerically controlled equipment that automatically bags or wraps baked products.
• Activate control panel, observe lights and dials, and verify proper operation.
• Inspect bagging or wrapping equipment (conveyors, x‑ray machines, clip‑closure machines) to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform machine and product changeovers within allocated time for assigned lines.
• Place finished product on scales; verify weight per specifications; notify QA and Supervisor if a product is out of spec.
• Adjust scales to maintain accurate weights.
• Document data on Quality Assurance Forms to completion.
• Complete required production documents to calculate run time, efficiencies, and cases produced.
• Report equipment malfunctions to Supervisor and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Assist in training new employees or those changing job classifications.
• Promote safety; follow procedures and report all accidents promptly.
• Conduct metal detector / X‑ray checks.

• High‑school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a food production area.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to produce quality product.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate orally in English.
• Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals.
• Physical demands: stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and move up to 25 lb routinely and occasional > 50 lb with assistance.
• Vision requirements: close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid conditions.
• Noise level usually moderate.
• Availability for overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
