Location: Blairsville Hatchery, Blairsville, GA
Schedule: Three Days a Week. Varying Days to include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, including holidays and some Saturdays & Sundays.
Hours: Varied hours depending on department need. This is a Part-Time position with a maximum of 30 hours per week.
Position SummaryThis position is responsible for floating to all departments within the Hatchery on an as needed basis.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Fill in departments as needed based on production needs. Duties may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice on a daily basis. Work days will be scheduled on Thursdays when weekly schedule is posted.

- The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Demands and Work Environment
- Physical:
Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs. and must be able to push/pull lbs. (on wheels). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. - Environment:
Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces, and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments. - Personal Protective Equipment
Required:
Safety glasses, safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals. Ear plugs will be used as needed. - Chemicals Commonly Used:
Formaldehyde is in use at this facility, disinfectant, lubricants and Virocid. - Safety:
Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lock Out Tag out, and Personal Protective Equipment. Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety related risks.
The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies. Failure to perform this job to the above standards could lead to progressive discipline up to and including termination.
