Pastor

We are seeking a pastor to lead a Bible‑based church, focusing on preaching, teaching, evangelism, and pastor care, while fostering a strong relationship with the congregation and community.

New Home Baptist Church is located in Johnson County (2616 S.A. Attaway Road, Wrightsville, Ga.) We are committed to proclaiming the Gospel, nurturing disciples, and serving our community in the name of Jesus Christ. We support the missions of the Georgia Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Missions Board, and the Mt. Vernon Association.

• Ordained in the Southern Baptist tradition.
• A college or seminary degree from an accredited theological institution is preferred.
• Previous pastoral experience is preferred.
• Meet biblical standards outlined like 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:5‑9.

• Preach and teach the inerrant word of God, equipping the saints for ministry.
• Provide spiritual leadership, vision, and direction for the church.
• Be responsible for shepherding and pastoral care.
• Live within a distance of Wrightsville and New Home Baptist Church (NHBC) to become part of the community.
• Lead/participate in outreach, growing the church through community initiatives, council meetings, and local events (festivals, markets, school functions, parades, etc.) to become known to community leaders and establish a network for needs and outreach.
• Provide candid information on the financial health of the church and resources available for ministry; financial and congregational numbers will be provided during interviews and at the time an offer is made.
