Senior Pastor

On behalf of Wrens Baptist Church, our pastor search team is seeking the will of God to connect with our next full time Senior Pastor. Located approximately thirty miles from the city of Augusta, Wrens Baptist Church is part of a small rural community that connects to 8 other nearby counties. Our community is diverse in race and socioeconomic status with wonderful opportunities for ministry in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Wrens Baptist Church averages 160 people each Sunday utilizing a multigenerational blended style service. Wrens Baptist Church is a fully cooperative body with local Baptist Associations, the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist convention, adhering to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.

Led by the power of the Holy Spirit, our pastor search committee seeks to find the man who will continue to drive Wrens Baptist Church to be known as a congregation that is centered on the Lord Jesus, focused on His Kingdom work, and follows the Living Word of God.

• Unwavering commitment to the biblical teaching of the Scriptures (Titus 1:9)
• Committed to the continuation of discipleship (Ephesians 4:11-16)
• A Preacher, to teach the gospel; a Bishop, to superintend the work of the church; a Pastor, to shepherd the flock; and a Minister, to serve the people for Jesus’ sake. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:2-3, Titus 1:8)
• Will work well alongside Deacons and committees (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
• Has a heart for the Great Commission and how it connects to our city, state, nation, and globe (Matthew 28:19-20)
• Must have a Master's degree from a fully accredited seminary that correlates with the Southern Baptist Convention.
