West Millen Baptist Church is located in Millen, GA and is currently prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor to lead our multigenerational church. West Millen Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Convention, and Middle Baptist Association. The congregation’s average attendance is around 75 on a regular basis. The church is a loving and caring congregation who pray for and support each other and support local and global missions.

West Millen Baptist Church aspires to bring people into a relationship with God through worship, fellowship and missions and to equip our members to grow and share their faith in accordance with God's Biblical plan.

• Give all glory to God
• Be a shepherd to our congregation and community
• Lead Sunday worship, morning and evening services, Wednesday midweek prayer meeting services, weddings, funerals and special services and functions as approved by the church council and pastor
• Be responsible for the spiritual direction of West Millen Baptist Church
• Administer the oath of church membership
• Provide visitation to shut-ins, hospitals and prospective members
• Serve as the primary Bible-based teaching pastor for the church, delivering sermons that inspire, instruct and equip the WMBC church body
• Council members and refer for additional counseling as appropriate
• Lead the WMBC ministerial staff to success in their respective ministry areas
• Support mission fields (Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, etc.)
• Support all ministries of the church (Children, Youth, WMU, Brotherhood)
• Be an on-going student of study in personal Bible study and prayer.
• Responsible for leading the church to the function as a New Testament church

• Proven ministerial leadership or pastoral experience at a comparable church, Seminary degree from an institution whose teachings are consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
• Demonstrated ability to shepherd and lead a church to reach the lost of our community, to equip believers, and to love one another
• Experience in the innovative, missional growth of a church or ministry
• Experience ministering to the spiritual and personal needs facing each of our generations and demographics
