Job Description:

Stapleton Baptist Church is seeking to hire a full‑time Associate Pastor to oversee all aspects of worship ministry and age‑graded ministry under the direction of the Senior Pastor. The ideal candidate would meet the biblical qualifications of a pastor, have a passion for families, and possess the necessary musical abilities to lead worship.

General Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Pastor in the overall discipleship of the church and promoting the church’s vision and mission.
• Develop and manage annual budgets for family ministry, missions, and worship ministry
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers in family ministry, missions, and worship ministry
• Other general pastoral duties as necessary

Ministry Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead the church’s efforts to minister to and with families through age‑graded ministry (nursery‑12th grade)
• Oversee ministry directors and volunteer teams in age‑graded ministry
• Assist the Senior Pastor in developing and implementing a long‑term vision and holistic process for discipling the next generation from cradle to college
• Assist the Senior Pastor in developing and implementing a long‑term vision and holistic process for recruiting, equipping, and training ministry volunteers and teachers
• Assist the Senior Pastor in coordinating ministry teams and committees
• Assist the Senior Pastor in leading in missions and evangelism

Worship Responsibilities

• Work with the Senior Pastor in planning, coordinating, and executing worship services
• Lead all musical portions of weekly services
• Plan and lead weekly rehearsals
• Manage and maintain all technology for the worship ministry
• Recruit, equip, and train musicians, vocalists, and audio/visual volunteers
• Oversee worship media creation and presentation

Position

Qualifications:

• Must be able to express profession of faith and a call to ministry
• Must meet the qualifications of a pastor/elder according to 1 Timothy 3
• Must be in doctrinal agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message
• Must have completed or be in the process of completing a bible college/seminary degree
• Must be able to preach and teach God’s Word
• Must have necessary musical & vocal ability to lead musical worship
