Position: PRN Nurse Practitioner with Security Clearance
Location: Dock Junction
Koniag Operations Services LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking PRN Nurse Practitioner to support Kadiak and our government customer in Glynco, GA. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. Services are to be provided between the hours of 7:00 to 18:00 pm (remain flexible), Monday through Friday unless specified otherwise. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in a clinic setting according to the scope of practice outlined by the Board of Nursing, approved protocols, and national standards of practice as directed by the physician preceptor.
* Performs components of physical exams which may include, but are not limited to:
* Vital signs - varies with different exam requirements
* Audiometry
* Vision testing
* ECG
* Spirometry
* Phlebotomy
* TB skin testing
* Documentation of all clinical data on all required forms
* Assist CNM with orientation for new staff
* Provides immunizations according to KGS policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
* Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections
* Recognizes and responds to emergency calls when required and renders emergency services as needed
* Assures personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies
* Prescribe and administers pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions
* Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results
* Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments, procedures, and medications prescribed
* Meets with Medical Director or designate to discuss quality of patient care, review policies, procedures, outcomes reports, and records
* Comply with federal and state privacy laws, always respecting a patient's confidentiality
* Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
* Ensures clinical competence and stays abreast of changes in medical management
* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Not a supervisory position

Minimum Requirements /Knowledge/Skills:
* At least two (2) years' experience in an occupational health or related experience such as public health, community health, outpatient clinic, emergency department or ambulatory healthcare
* Adept at diagnosing problems and creating treatment plans for clients
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task; ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
* Superior ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

Minimum Education Requirements/Certification/Licensure/Experience
* Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required/RN license required
* Master's degree in nursing as Nurse Practitioner from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program required
* Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure for; and listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry Required
* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training and possess current certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Tier 4 and Public Trust security clearance, per government requirements
* Shall meet the licensing competency and professional qualifications required by the state for which hired; and have two (2) year field experience within the last three years
* Required to have a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Number
* Agree to have a collaborative agreement with physician if required for the state assigned. Benefits:
