Location: Berrien Campus.
Department: BER – GPU.
Schedule: Full Time, 12 HR Day Shift.

• Ensure delivery of quality patient care on shift and provide patient care through implementation of the nursing process for all age groups.
• Coordinate patient’s plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Maintain an atmosphere which supports South Georgia Medical Center’s mission, vision, values, code of conduct, goals, policies and standards.
• Assist manager in operating unit within established budgetary parameters.
• Supervise, manage and actively assist in staff development.
• Assist manager with unit operations as assigned.

• Current RN license in Georgia and CPR certification.
• Relevant clinical experience (leadership, supervision, or management preferred).
• Ability to work well individually and as a team leader or member.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and adapt to new situations, think critically, manage priorities and utilize problem‑solving techniques, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lead and develop others.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a diverse patient population.
• Proficiency in operating clinical equipment, computers and telecommunications devices.
• Current knowledge of patient care, leadership and management principles.

Works primarily in hospital or clinic setting. Requires considerable standing, mental effort, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.) and exposure to blood and body fluids including infectious diseases. Requires use of clinical equipment and telecommunications devices.
