Registered Nurse Day Shift (Emergency Dept) – Full‑Time

Join Strategis Consulting as a full‑time registered nurse in our Emergency Department.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Nurses and Clinical Services, the RN leads the nursing team in the Emergency Department, provides direct and indirect patient care, and supervises subordinates in accordance with The Joint Commission and related regulations.

• Ensure adherence to infection control, OSHA and safety standards.
• Assess patients during triage and establish order of treatment.
• Complete all nursing documentation and use abbreviations per policy.
• Manage lacerations, head injuries, respiratory arrests, cardiac arrest, overdoses, burns, poisoning, trauma, drowning, bites, and psychiatric cases.
• Assist in checking and stocking supplies and drugs, including inventory via Pyxis.
• Administer IV fluids and blood products according to hospital policy.
• Prepare patients for lab, radiology, procedures and review discharge instructions.
• Act as team leader for ED staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Operate ED equipment (monitors, glucometers, stretchers, wheelchairs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma and completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
• State of Georgia RN license (must hold and maintain). BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS certification required; obtain within 3 months of employment. TNCC preferred.
• Preferred two years of critical care or emergency nursing. EMT/Paramedic experience may substitute.
• Tools: calculator, PC, phone, fax, copier, printer, IV pumps, glucometers, syringes, monitors.
