Family Nurse Practitioner

Exciting Full‑Time Family Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Hazlehurst, GA!

Main Street Family Care is growing, and we are looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team full time! You will provide patient‑focused care in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent care environment. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team while working in this urgent care setting.

We welcome early‑career FNPs, including brand‑new graduates who have not yet taken boards. After on‑site orientation and training, you will work several shifts with experienced providers, receive complementary pediatric urgent care training, and have a provider on‑call to assist with clinical decision making. • Full scope of practice – treat patients of all ages, from babies to geriatric patients.
• Leadership role – you are the medical provider and leader for a small team of medical assistants.
• Support for rural communities – our clinics operate 362 days a year to reduce costly ER visits.

You and your team will care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice. The following are examples of typical duties:

• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Suturing, splinting, and general orthopedic evaluations/management
• Reviewing x‑rays (with over‑reading by a radiologist)
• Providing general dermatology, eye problem management, and EKG interpretation
• Applying emergency management skills
• Managing general gynecology care and treating children of all ages
• Occupational medicine and telemedicine services

Main Street Clinic Hours

• Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sample schedule below:

• Week 1:
  Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON).
• Week 2:
  Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).

• Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required
• MSN or higher degree required (new graduate friendly)
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain DOT certification (cost covered)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
