Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (NP/PA) – Locum Tenens

Hartwell, Georgia | 3 Shifts/Week | Independent Practice | Rapid Credentialing

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for ongoing Urgent Care locum tenens coverage in Hartwell, Georgia.

This opportunity is built for an experienced urgent care clinician who is comfortable practicing independently, maintaining efficient patient flow, performing common procedures, and interpreting onsite diagnostic studies. Three shifts per week are available within an established regional clinic network, with credentialing that can be completed in less than 3 days for qualified providers.

Schedule

• Ongoing locum tenens coverage
• 3 shifts per week
• Clinics operate 7 days per week
• Site schedules may include 8:00 AM–8:00 PM and 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Must be willing to cover clinics within the assigned region
• Regional travel may extend up to approximately 1 hour
• Providers within approximately 30–45 miles of Hartwell strongly preferred

Practice Environment

• Walk-in Urgent Care
• Independent NP/PA practice
• Must be comfortable serving as the solo provider when scheduled
• Full office staff support
• Onsite lab and X-ray
• 25+ patients per day
• Approximately 3–4 patients per hour
• Patients age 2 and older
• Practice Velocity EMR
• Online EMR training provided

Clinical Scope

• Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Independently review laboratory and diagnostic results
• Interpret chest and extremity X-rays
• Follow up with patients regarding positive lab and imaging results
• Suturing and laceration repair
• Incision and drainage
• Digital blocks
• Pelvic examinations
• Complete and sign documentation before the end of each shift

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active, unrestricted Georgia license
• Recent Urgent Care or comparable outpatient clinical experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable practicing independently for full clinic shifts
• Proficient in suturing, I&D, digital blocks, and pelvic examinations
• Able to independently interpret routine chest and extremity X-rays
• Comfortable treating patients age 2+
• Able to consistently manage 3–4 patients per hour
• No malpractice or disciplinary history
• Reliable availability for 3 shifts per week

• Credentialing can be completed in less than 3 days for qualified clinicians
