Summary of Position
The Quality Lab Technician performs tests to support the foam pad line and seat assembly line as required. Most of the testing involves durability simulation of vehicle interior conditions. Testing responsibilities include mechanical preparation and instrumentation, test execution, data collection, and post‑test removal of test equipment and components.

- Performs additional assignments or duties as assigned.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
- Complies with safety policies and 5S clean philosophy.
- Meets company safety goals.
- Performs routine and special testing of raw materials, foam, and finished seat components.
- Tests performance of seats.
- Inspects parts for defects, measurements, and conformance to specifications.
- Conducts durability and density tests, H‑point and static load deflection as required.
- Accurately records test results, measurements, and observations.
- Enters data into quality tracking systems and prepares reports for Quality leadership.
- Communicates findings promptly to Quality Engineers and Managers.
- Operates lab testing equipment, fixtures, and measuring devices; maintains preventative maintenance and necessary supplies.
- Calibrates, maintains, and cleans equipment per procedures.
- Reports equipment malfunctions or repair needs.
- Follows established testing procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Ensures all testing and documentation meet customer, company, and ISO/IATF standards.
- Maintains organized records and retains samples as required.
- Supports production and quality teams by providing timely feedback on test results.
- Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to investigate defects, non‑conformances, or customer complaints.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Reports to Quality Lab Engineer.
