FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn a predictable full-time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but you must be able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. The role is based in Reno, NV and FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years.

Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. The purpose of the property inspection is to verify occupancy, report general condition using a mobile application, and capture photos when necessary. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos if the property has gone vacant.

• Complete inspections within 5-6 minutes.
• Submit inspection reports within 4 days of assignment.
• Determine occupancy status and report property conditions.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in a mobile application.
• Spend extended periods driving within the assigned territory.

• Computer with internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good mileage; you pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate; rates vary based on county and volume. Paid per inspection, you can earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2–30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates;

higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set volume; work is consistent month-to-month. You can earn more as you become established, increase availability, or cover a larger territory.

No additional mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
